Had my eyebrows microblade by Vinella a few months ago and they still look amazing! She was brilliant.

Had my eyebrows threaded here and being a beautician myself I can be over critical sometimes, but this was one of the worst eyebrows threads I have ever had. As nice as the girls were, the treatment was done very quickly and clumsily, didn't bother shaping just took off a few hairs, leaving quite a few behind, and after I asked her to trim them barley touched them with the scissors. I'm sorry but I thread eyebrows and have never had a complain because I take the time to understand what shape my clients would like and spend as long as it takes threading plucking and cutting them to that desir

This is the worst place I have ever visited! Went 17 Jan for eyebrow threading & Tint & was horrified that eyebrows were uneven & tint very sloppy. I told her and she disagreed. I went home to realise they were really awful and called the salon who said it wasn't them and I must be confused, so I went back to complain. The staff were surprised, rude and still tried to say they were ok. I did not get a refund and had to go to another salon and pay to fix my eyebrows! Please save your money & time & go to another salon, I wish there were a picture upload so I could share how bad they are.

A very mediocre mani/pedi. The girl couldn't speak much English, she cut me (my toe) and I bled, and actually just left me at the end with my hands under a nail drier and with the toe separators still on. I had to check my nails myself and finish up alone. Nobody said thank you or goodbye. I heard a lot of other clients complaining during my treatments as I was 'done' in a very public area. Not a good experience. Wish I hadn't purchased the group on voucher. I would never go back.

I came here with a Groupon voucher. I was twenty minutes late (made a mistake writing down the appointment time) and arrived ten minutes before closing. The lady on reception was kind enough to do the treatment anyway, and she did a very good job of a Hollywood wax - not too fast, not too slow, not especially uncomfortable and she was friendly throughout.
I would definitely come back not least because it's £20 cheaper than my local place!
I gave 9 stars rather than 10 because the building is a bit shabby, but the treatment room is clean.

I visited this salon for a Hollywood wax after purchasing a group-on voucher. I have had this treatment many times before and unfortunately have to say this was the worst by far. I very much doubt the girl who saw me had any qualifications. Although speedy, the wax was spread too much with each go which made the removal far more painful than it had to be. At the end of the treatment she covered the area in talc powder and did not provide any soothing lotion at all. The result being very tender red skin hours later.

I purely go because it's cheap but they are clearly not professionals, I only ask for a particular staff to do my eyebrows because last time I had a different staff I hated my eyebrows. Poor customer service, I have streams of tears and she gets angry when I stop to wipe them only go for eyebrows!

Continued from last review:
...Although I was feeling a lot of pain I didn’t think anything of it because she told me it was because my hairs were too long.
I could see she wanted to get it over and done with and obviously so did I! After she had finished, in approximately 15mintues! Which im sure should have take much more time if she had don’t it professionally! I was then expecting as soon as she had finished the wax to put something on it as they normally do or at least clean it with some sort of lotion! But instead I was handed 1 cotton pad with the lotion on it and she stated “If I wanted to I could use more lotion myself” Then she left the room to let me get changed. As soon as she left the room, I was using tons of the lotion and aloe vera cooling gel which was on there on the side yet she didn’t even use it! I was dabbing handfuls on to try and cool the soreness! When I cleaned it with dry tissue that was also on the side, I saw lots of blood, I was horrified at the sight and I couldn’t believe knowing that it was bleeding she never cleaned it!
As soon as I manage to get myself in less discomfort with the products, I put on my clothes and went back down to the reception desk where the asian lady at reception, offered me another one time deal to book my next hollywood wax on the spot in advance for the discounted price of £10. I said no I didn’t need it but clearly in my head I knew id never want to come near or even step foot in this salon again!!! And to top it all off when I got home, I checked with a mirror to see if she had done it properly and there were stray small patches of hair she had missed!
Over all it was the worst service I ever experienced! Clearly by the look of this place I should of gone on my first impressions, they were neither professional and lacked huge customer service skills, would warn anyone who is thinking of having the same treatment there!

I recently bought the February Groupon deal for £9 ‘Brazilian/ hollywood wax’ which at the time, I thought I got a pretty good deal! Little did I know…
Now before you read this review bare in mind, I had already had the exact same Hollywood wax done before at a different salon, with my hairs being the same length! So I already knew what to expect and the quality of service that should be carried out! Hence why I was not hesitant to have it done again! But why shouldn’t I expect the same quality wherever I go, guess you really do have to do your research before you buy these deals!
When I arrived at the oxford street salon, my immediate thoughts were it didn't look very professional building/interior/image wise but I wont judge and I'll see how the treatment goes. The asian lady at reception greeted me and showed me to a blonde beautician who I believed to be Russian, who was going to perform the wax on me. I was then asked if it would be ok if a trainee could watch as she was learning, I said ok not thinking anything of it. We then walked up to the room and i was told to take all my clothing off in front of the two women.
After getting started I immediately noticed the beautician was waxing me quiet aggressively and rushing. I felt she was rushing it so much that she didn’t even consider or stop to ask me if I was ok or experiencing any serious pain or discomfort! I didn’t feel she was even being careful, she didn’t hold my skin taught so I had to do it myself! I know she was waxing it on the same spot straight twice, straight away to try and get some of the hairs which didn’t come out the first time, which she then instigated the blame was on me because I shouldn’t of let it grow that long and that is why it was hurting so much. Cleary she knew I was experiencing quiet a lot of pain and dis-comfort but not once did she ask /question me whether I was in any serious discomfort! Which you’d expect a professional beautician to do! Although I was feeling a lot of p

I would strongly recommend against going to this salon. I phoned and asked for prices for an ordinary bikini wax, was quoted £5. Said this when I visited (10 mins later) when I arrived and once I was in the treatment room. Had a more expensive wax done to me with more hair removed which I did not want at all!

They insisted I pay for the more expensive treatment, even though I was unhappy with it, and it was not what i'd asked for. The staff member did not speak very good english, but I had showed her (on me) exactly what i wanted and she obviously ignored my requests. Poor finish (i.e. not straight) and technique - more painful with more irritated skin, compared to other beauty therapists.

Do not go there for a haircut. The person who cut my hair did not listen to what I wanted & has obviously never trained as a hairdresser. I had long hair & only wanted a trim so I wasn't worried about the place I went. I asked for 1 inch trimmed from the end of my hair. She agreed & talked me into have some light layers. She cut 5 inches off my hair (to just below my shoulders) & hacked very short layers into my hair. I nearly cried when she showed me how much she'd cut from the back. I thought the layers seemed wrong when she cut them. Sadly I was right. The layers didn't blend & looked like bits had been hacked into my hair. They were only about 2 inches long so I couldn't even have them tidied up by another hairdresser. It's taken my 5 months of growing my hair & two visit to a decent hairdresser for me to stop hating my haircut. I've never left a negative review but I really feel people need to be warned. DO NOT go here for a haircut.

I've used this place on and off for years, they are cheap although you may have a wait if they are busy - up to 45 minutes for eyebrows. If you visit during a busy time the threaders will rush and miss out bits - if you point out the bits missed and ask to correct they get very put out.

Waxing is always rushed, staff hate to do it and make this known.

Singhars is OK as a last resort, but if you can afford to go elsewhere and have the time, then you should go elsewhere.

I have been attending Singhar regularly for nearly 5 years and have never had any complaints. I use Singhar's services for an eyebrow threading and the results are clean, neat and a fresh finish. The pricing is very reasonable (£5) and am always seen within 5 minutes. Will continue to go and advise you do to.
