Very strange experience bordering on uncomfortable. Very clean salon but the staff were very uninterested and my shellac nails with pedicure (£30) was very poor , 3 days and coming of also my manicure is awful. It took ten mins and cost £12. Never again

Excellent work on my nails but very rude and unfriendly staff, obviously cultural but you get the feeling that you are an object to be dealt with as quickly as possible, I said thankyou to the guy who must be the manager and he looked at me with a blank face and said nothing

American Nails has a BEAUTIFUL much upgraded salon & if you get the lady owner to do your nails which is less & less now sadly, you get a FANTASTIC job & finish but she allocates you out to her employees & it's hit/miss as to which one you get as to whether you leave a happy customer. On one hand, the husband is nice, accommodating & happy to get you coffee/tea but regular turnover of staff means you can get from a very good to a limited experienced employee & nails that are painted w/too thick polish & they smear when you leave. Right now they have re-hired an old staff member as their main manicurist who's argumentative, aggressive, unsmiling, unpleasant & unable to follow guidelines for a proper manicure which is over in 8 minutes & frankly makes the entire experience in an otherwise LOVELY salon a total misery & really stressful. When doing nails she can hurt you & should you dare complain they all speak in their language & they are

Excellent nail salon. I have been going since this place opened over 10years ago. They always do a great job on my shellac nails and normal polish pedicures.
Big thanks to American Nails!

I would simply like to thank all at American Nails for 'listening' to how I would like my nails done and for taking on any improvement/comments i have offered in relation to my nails. I've tried many salons over the past 5 years and can honestly say I have found 'the one'. They do an excellent job each and every time. So from an extremely satisfied customer....thank you!!

This place have the worst customer service ever. They accept customers that come just before they close but then treat them terribly. I've been LITERALLY ushered out of that salon after being put under the dryer for 7MINS!!! THREE TIMES!! They knew full well my nails were nowhere near dry but held open the door & shouted bye anyway. On all three occasions my nails smudged as soon as I got in my car & they knew it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt & returned twice after the first scenario but soon realised this is just a 1* salon. Don't expect more than 'okay' nails & horrible customer

The first time I went to American nails on Halloween day, I tried shellac manicure and it was fantastic!!! It lasted about more than 3 weeks and I couldn't stop thinking about my brilliant nails,I had. I recommend American nails because its only £25. I would rate this salon my number one beauty salon. Come down to American nails and you will have the best quality shellac ever.

I've heard a few friends say that this place is really rough and you end up with sore cuticles but the place I usually go was closed so I dashed in for a gel nail refill.
Wish I hadn't, the lady filed my cuticles so aggressively 3 of them bled and twice applied up the wrong product, using primer instead of oil to massage the now butchered cuticles which left them even more abused. The nail shape is good but the paint is rough where they were rushed and not enough time was spent ensuring a smooth finish.

More care and time would be appreciated as my nails are red and sore. Not acceptabl

An interesting place - I have been twice. The second time I was much clearer about what I wanted and that helped. I smiled alot & chatted. That helped too. I had a lovely coffee and will keep going. Please don't expect a luxury 'salon' experience. It's very functional so just be clear what you wa

I'm sad to say that this is one of those nail shops that says it's your fault when their quality is poor. I,ve had shellac nails done there 3 times. The 1st two were ok... Lasted just about 2 weeks which is par for these shops. The 3rd time I had to go back the next day because they were sticky and dull. She "gladly" fixed them but implied I must've done something to cause it. (Googled and learned this happens when the residue isn't cleaned off well after). She slapped another coat of clear on and after sitting under the ultra violet they were better, even the color. (Which was off a bit before). However, 6 days later they started chipping. On the 8th day I realized the chipping was getting worse and decided to go back. I wasn't sure if she would fix or re-do but the service is guaranteed for two weeks so I was sure she'd "gladly" take care of it again.wrong. Intimidation seems to be how they handle customer service. Speaking to each other in Vietnamese and smirking while they looked at my nails she eventually told me it was my fault and pretty much called me a liar about the # of days. I left vs. Pushing it and wasting yet ANOTHER hour to get them "fixed" and I won't be going back.

Recommended as they are good at what they do & efficient - Not big on smiles or normal politeness but probably just a cultural thing - Don't take it personally.
