Today I ordered a tray of Turkish dessert 'sutlu borek'. I asked for them to be made with reduced sugar. I have to give top marks to The old country bakery as they were delicious!!! Fresh and so tasty. This is a sweet of filo pastry wrapped around cooked semolina and drenched in sugar syrup. My aunt makes these and I have learnt her recipe and I have not tasted any as good as hers until now!
I also buy bulgur Kofte's from Country bakers and these are the best around. These are a oblong shaped cases of bulgur filled with minced meat, onions and parsley. The best!!!
