I am a regular business and personal customer at this branch and I have always been pleased with the excellent service provided by the staff. Having used them for several years I consider the service to be as good as and better than most banks. Unfortunately reviews tend to attract negative comments but I have nothing but praise for this branch. I have also found the online service to be excellent on most occasions.

I'm sorry to say that the Kentish Town branch of Lloyds TSB offers the worst banking service I have ever experienced (compared with accounts I have at other banks in the U.K., the United States, Australia and New Zealand, none of which has ever had a significant problem).
Some time ago this branch closed my long-standing accounts without any consultation or advice, then failed to respond to my letters after I eventually managed to discover what had happened. When I attempted to resolve matters via the main Lloyds TSB telephone contact number on several occasions, the pleasant and helpful Lloyds TSB operators advised that the problem was "at the branch" and would have to be taken up there.
In each case I was assured that I would be called back from the branch, and in each case this did not happen.
In view of this history, I closed all personal and business accounts at Lloyds TSB (other accounts had no problems, but I'd had my fill of being stonewalled) except for the minor accounts frozen by the Kentish Town branch on its own initiative without advice to me.
I'd love to be rid of these accounts too - and to finally retrieve the funds held, still inaccessible to me - but twenty-tree telephone calls and five letters have not produced a single meaningful response, and I've now just given up trying, in essence abandoning the funds rather than waste more time.
Incidentally, no reason was ever given by the Kentish Town branch for closing my accounts without advice - there was no impropriety or oddity of any kind in the entire history of the accounts.
This ill mannered refusal to respond to letters and telephone calls has a long and fully documented history, but I won't bore you with details here.
Suffice to say that for ill-mannered poor service, this branch is a major contender.
