on Saturday i went for a hair cut. i have been there several times before. a young Chinese woman cut my hair. at the end she demanded i pay £20 in cash. i asked if there had been another price increase, whereupon she became nasty and her attitude was offensive. she told me there were different prices for men and women. she drew my attention to the sign outside which said hair cuts £15. no where was there a notice that women must pay £20 per cut. on a previous occasion a Polish woman cut my hair, there was a notice that women's hair cuts were £16. but she charged me £18. it is clear that both these women are overcharging customers whom they think they can get away with, and lining their own pockets. We are asked to pay in cash so that there is no financial evidence of what they are getting up to. i will not be going back again. There are other issues also.

Best barbers that I'm yet to come across in London. Extremely cheap at only £9, and always offering a fast service with fantastic staff.

If possible, ask for the South African lady - who always provides a great cut and friendly service.

Would definitely recommend.

Incredibly poor experience. I went in asking for a 3 on the sides and just thinning out on top. To most barbers that means taking the weight out of the hair, not halving it in length. I'm not sure whether this was lost in communication but I was pretty articulate. I asked for a step change on the left pulling the hair on top over to the right. She just shaved the **** out of it with no regard.

Do not go there.

Perfect for anyone looking for a decent haircut for a bargain price. The woman that cut mine executed my "no. 4 back and sides and a bit longer on the top" as well as anyone I've had before and at twice the speed (at half the price!). She also obliged when I asked for a bit more off the top, correcting it quickly but effectively. Definitely would recommend for a quick and cheap cut that looks great! Would have been 10/10 if she'd offered to style it with product but I guess you can only ask so much at £6!

£6 for a cut represents the best value in London. Not sure how good they are with women's hair, but they do my short back and sides as well as any other barber that charges much more. No reservations and sometimes you have to wait a bit, but they're fairly quick. Obviously, at this price there are no extras, no hair washing or gel. If you don't want to chat, they don't force it, but if you do they're pretty friendly.
