I went in to have my 5" long beard and moustache tidied up and came out with little more than stubble despite having discussed only cutting it to half length. I now look like my dad only much worse, and he died twenty years ago.
I used Eds for years before I discovered clippers during lockdown, much like the bloke who served me. I suppose I should be grateful that he only scratched me twice and scalded my forehead slightly with the hot shave.
Yes I agree the place is friendly and clean I'd say it's now just the place for that convict cut you always dreamed of.

i went for a haircut, came back half bold. The person there didnt even know what a low fade was. Not appealing service, waste of money.

I moved to Colliers Wood 5 months ago and came to Ed's for my first haircut. It was empty when I got in and I got greeted with a 'mate, you are so lucky that it's empty as we're busy all the time.' I was a bit skeptical at first because of that comment but the hair cut was very good and the price is reasonable and so I came back.
Funnily enough, what Ed said is true - they are quality barbers and the sign of this is that they are genuinely, always busy, even during the week. The next time I was back they were busy and have been a loyal customer since.
I have had a haircut with most of the barbers in there and I can honestly say that they can cut hair with their eyes closed.
I fully recommend. They have a good chat on them as well and are like my personal therapist as well as barbers haha
