These guys specialise in cycle maintenance hackney. I personally think they are well worth travelling for. I moved to Clapton then crouch end but i still go back to Hackney for my bike service a couple of times a year.

Useful. Friendly. Sensible. Well-priced. New bikes available at 10/15% less than Evans. Highly recommended.

Great service and very speedy. Even stayed open late to ensure I could drop my bike off after work and was ready first thing in the morning. Would highly recommend.

This local bike repair/sales shop is an absolute gem. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner and his colleague. He treats all his customers like friends and is extremely knowledgeable and will always give an honest opinion. He has often done little jobs for nothing and there are no many people around nowadays who would do that. I have recommended this business to many people because it's first class. Well done Perlie Rides!

This bike shop is great, run by honest and trustworthy people who know really well how to fix bikes. I bought a bike on e-bay that never quite ran properly, and was shafted by some other bike shops in Hackney who claimed to have fixed it up but just took my money & did very little. However, the people at Perlie Rides fixed it really quickly (replaced transmission, chain & pedals etc.) at a reasonable price and it now runs amazingly well. Feels like a new bike. Now I have found a trustworthy bike shop that give excellent service I won't go anywhere else!

Went in this afternon at 3, asked for a new cassette and chain, front wheel needed straightening out and mech was bent. Said it would be ready by 5 and it was. Excellent service, owner is a friendly guy who grew up a couple of streets from the shop (not some middle class entrepreneur from Surrey jumping on the cycling bandwagon). It doesn't have the pretensions of those shops full of day glo single speeders for 'The Wick' hipsters, or the overly bureaucratic nonsense of London Fields Cyles. Perfect really.

I took my bike there to change the rim; Sure the staff is friendly but the guy told me my bicycle should be ready in a week. I went back to the shop exactly 7 days later but it had not been touched, he said it should be finished by the next Tuesday. i came back on Thursday, the bike was still untouched, the rim had just arrived (when had it been ordered?) and the guy told me it would be ready the next Tuesday... he was hardly apologetic and was happy to let me know i could get it back before 7pm if i wanted to take it to another bike shop. tu sum it up: He kept my bike more than 2 WEEKS and didn't touch it at all...
