The Electric Transport Shop was formed by Cambridge graduates Eddie Kehoe and Jamie McAlley to educate people in the ever more traffic plagued cities of England about the alternative ways to get from A to B. As well as electric bikes, they also offer a comprehensive range of the best quality British built conventional bikes, plus biking accessories (locks, helmets, lights, trailers, top boxes/baskets etc.) and even the Twike - a revolutionary new electric car.

I called in to ask if they sold a certain bike and the person was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. He toldf me to look at the website and thaht he could not help me further and then hung up.

Very poor service, what a shame

I am so happy that I found The Electric Transport Shop on the WEB. I read the manager’s pages. He helped me choose a bike. It has the power and range that suits my needs. My daily commute is less than 5 miles and almost flat, but I can travel at 15 mph and if I go into London through Richmond Park, it manages with ease. It has a range of 50 miles without charge. This has been more reliable than any other bike that I have owned. Of course it has had some problems, but none that Camdemn TETS has not been willing and able to fix. TETS and their Camden manager continue to do me proud!

Having had Diabetic blackouts on long cycle rides during the 80's was estatic to discover last year o4r so the Brompton Sparticle Kit. It has been fitted to a nineteen year old Peugeot 700C drop bar mountain bike. With the special rack ordered can carry three batteries which gives me a summer range of 40-45 miles. With pedal assistance can easily climb my local Scottish hills. The Cruise Control is magical and a real joy on a countryside run. This kit has given me back my freedom and are now revisiting roads not cycled since the 80's. More people should buy this kit and to date have had no problems with it. Eddie Kehoe at the Electric Transport Shop is an absolute star and has helpd me by ,phone & email all the way. Are very impressed with this powerful excitng electric kit! Let's see more bikes done especially in Scotland!

The Electric transport shop fitted my ancient 30 year old bike with an electric motor. There have been some teething problems, but their service is unfaultable. There was an initial problem with the kit where the front wheel was not properly fitted; they sent someone out to fix it within an hour, even though it was on a day when their London shop was closed.

There is an ongoing problem with the clasp of the front handlebar bag that holds the battery - it isnt strong enough, and this has caused a couple of problems when the bag fell off on crossing a large bump in the road. But they have instantly fixed any resulting problems and are currently investigating a long term solution.

I chose these people because they have a shop in London, so I can access them easily, and I certainly don't regret it. Although there have been problems, their follow - up service is second to none. I heartily recommend them.

And the bike plus motor has allowed me to restart commuting to work (6 miles each way) on the bike, despite having had to give up cycling a few years back because of arthritic knees.
