We spent £1800 on 7 blinds in June 2017. We were asked to pay £900 up-front as a deposit and then we were asked to pay the remaining £900 on the day that the blinds were being installed, but BEFORE they were put up. After they had been put up, I said that they didn't look 'the right length' to me, and the man said that they looked fine to him. Over the following weeks we asked repeatedly for our money back and the blinds to be removed, but we still have the blinds and they still look ill-fitting and we didn't get our money back. We feel that Homestyle could improve their service in the following ways;
1. Invest in specific equipment to measure windows accurately. Something more than a tape measure!
2. Invest in training about how to measure windows accurately, and a proper form to note down important measurements so you don't need to come back to remeasure.
3. Invest in training about how to install blinds, in old windows as well as new.
4. Invest in customer serv

Awful. Stay away from them. Expensive and bad service. They ask for the money all upfront.

We had to wait for a while but eventually we were told our shutters had arrived. They were fitted and we are very pleased. Great service and good quality! It was worth the wait.

I am having a horrific time trying to get my blinds fixed. I took them to have the width adjusted back in November. It took three weeks to get them back, and when I did, they had taken up the length too (for no reason whatsoever - it was clear that this had not been requested), so they were too short for my windows. I took them back in and they said they would adjust them back. 2 weeks later, we picked them up and they were still too short. It is now January, I have had no information, despite leaving 2 messages, and they wont answer the phone. No blinds for christmas and very upset.

This is one of those times when you try to help but end up with egg in your face.
The blind in question was one of a set of previously used blinds she wanted to recycle for her living room windows.
This customer came into our showroom requesting our help to have it altered to avoid buying a new set.
We obliged because we have a policy to help locals with such request even though we only provide bespoke window furnishing services. Unfortunately this was at a peak period for our business (December).The blind had to go through our normal Made To Order cycle period of 3 weeks for Curtain and Roman blind.
She was so relived that we could help that having it for Christmas was never discussed. If she had asked, we would not have accepted to do the work because we only have 15 working days in December due to the season's break.
This customer may genuinely believe she only instructed us to alter the width of her blind but we maintain that was not the case. Why would we do more work than required of us.
We however accept the dissatisfaction of this customer and have done everything we could to make up by fixing the blind to her requirement and personally delivering it to her home with apologies.
But we see no mention had been made about that in her review perhaps because she wrote this review before we could resolve her issues.

I was amazed at the professionalism shown from ordering to installation. Their price is competitive and their attention to detail was exceptional. The Managing Director took personal responsibility for overseeing the work and we are now the proud owners of the most beautiful shutters in the street.
I have rated them 10/10 and have already recommended them to relatives and friends.

I would just like to say, I just had my stutters install today and they are first class absolutely brilliant well worth the money very competitive pricing and the staff made the experience effortless, I I'm now the envy of my neighbours, I would highly recommend this company to a friend. 10/10.

I would agree with the other comments that the communication could be better, but overall I'm really happy with the service. We have had some beautiful shutters fitted. They took 12 weeks to be made a fitted (not far off the 10 quoted). The finish is excellent and the product is top quality. V.Happ

The most unrealiable company I have ever used in my whole life. I purchased shutter blinds in Oct 2010 and job is still not yet done (nearly 7 months on). I had to wait 3 months (even though he said it would only take 8 weeks) for the shutter blinds to arrive. When they did arrive, he realised the frame in the living room was measured incorrectly (he did all the measuring himself by the way) and now I am still waiting for them to arrive. I must have called him over 50 times to chase about my shutters, for him to make one excuse after another. These shutter blinds have cost me a lot of money and the only reason why I used them was because I wanted to help local trade. I have made a terrible mistake using this company and would never use them again.

We acknowledge the dissatisfaction of this customer and we have apologised unreservedly with compensation.

On rear occasions, we have measuring/design translation or manufacturing error.
When such error occur, we work quickly to having a replacement made and shipped.

We understand that this customer was anxious to have his shutters hence his frequent/numerous calls. But all we could do was wait to receive the replacement.

On occasions like this, the company has a policy to compensate customers for such delays.

He was adequately compensated and had his shutter satisfactorily fitted as soon as we had them.

Poor service, poor quality products and appauling aftersales care - avoid at all costs. I was sold vertical blinds at well over £1200 which were very badly fitted, do not operate properly and I was told that I would need to give the blinds a shove to help them close - Sadly only one side closes and it will take more than a shove to make these work! The reason I was told they don't work is that the blind is too large - Amazing considering they were recommended to me by this so called expert. Spend your money elsewhere!!!

We seldom come across customers who do not accept the limitations of their choices but not one that would go to this length to undermine the very best of product and services they have received.

The product in question is 4 metres (w) X 2.3 Metres (h) (White Wooden Vertical blind) and weighed a 'ton'.

When this customer came enquiring, we expressed concern about his choice of material (Wood) due to the size of his Patio door. We suggested he considers a PVC or Fabric verticals instead but he was adamant he wanted Wood. Our focus at the time was on how the fixings would hold when the louvers are stacked with the entire weight bearing down on the fixing points.

On installing this blind,the customer was however not happy about the limitation experienced as a result of his choice.
The resulting weight of the blind makes it stacks about 10cm short of being pulled completely using the cord. It stacks to a point where it becomes too heavy to pull any further on the track runners using the cord alone, and therefore needs a little hand to complete the pull if needed. There was really nothing more we could do.

Wooden vertical blinds are made from finger jointed Wood and are the most luxurious choice of blind in the market. The details are there for anyone to verify the fairness of our all inclusive price of £1270. A fact known to this customer.

We had 3 men on site to fit this blind. We ensured the blind was properly secured by drilling through the concrete lintel and using screws and industrial grade adhesive to ensure there is no movement.

We take a lot of pride in what we do and how we resolve matters that relates to our customers expectations and satisfaction and would always ensure where possible that we meet these expectations if not exceed them. We have and will always put our customers before profit without excitation because we know our business depend on it.
