Warning: Change of Management: Going to the Royal Academy Restaurant used to be an opportunity to eat reasonably priced food in a beautiful setting. Sadly the management changed in January 2011 and now value for money has plummeted. I ordered a Caesar salad costing over £10. It arrived when my friends had finished their meals (which they were not too impressed with). It contained six matchstick sized pieces of smoked chicken on a small bed of leaves and the waitress had forgotten to serve my dressing on the side. I sent it back. They didn't charge me for the dish but refused to give us a discount. What a shame we can no longer enjoy this beautiful decor
