Not at all fancy and quite worn looking (it's been here for many years). However, for an inexpensive "comfort food" take-out meal (spaghetti with meatballs, lasagna, various types of grilled chicken, etc.), very edible and very good value. Indeed, in this neighborhood, uniquely good value. When faced with boring food at exhorbitant prices while staying alone in the many hotels in the area, a short walk to Piccolo Bar solves my problem. Often quite crowded with value-seekers around dinner time, a good sign. If you want an ale (or two) to go with dinner, take a short walk down Curzon Street to the Tesco Express and buy whatever you need.
