Tea at The Ritz is served in the spectacular surroundings of Palm Court. A choice of seven varieties of tea, finely cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones, jam and clotted cream and a range of delicate pastries are available. There are three sittings every day (1.30pm, 3.30pm and 5pm). Its popularity means that booking at least six weeks in advance is essential.

It's a VERY formal affair! You have to dress up and gents aren't even allowed to take their jackets off at the table - even if it's 30degrees!
The food is good and the service is very attentive. We were pigs and ate 2 or 3 plates of sandwiches. You get a choice of tea and plenty of cakes!
It's not cheap (£50 per head) but you're paying for one of the most quintessential experiences.
Honestly, not the best afternoon tea I've ever had but one of those things you've just got to do. Be warned, the waiting list is r
