Useful Tips from AIL Users

The carrot cake, though presented as a very generous slice, is beautifully light and feels (almost) healthy whilst being totally delicious :-)

I'd booked a table in advance for a babyshower; from start to finish the staff were efficient, friendly and professional. We arrived to find the table beautifully laid, they offered to help with our decorations (and turned out to be amazing at balloon-displays!) and nothing was too much trouble. Ava was knowledgeable about all the teas, took time to explain them and the menu to us, and made us feel incredibly welcome. The interior is delightful too and I would absolutely recommend Orange Pekoe - fabulous find :-)

That was the very first and last time that I will visit this place. We were 'welcomed' by a woman that, basically, rudely stopped us from sitting in one of the few free tables to, actually, give her permission before we could do that. Then, we were served by another rude member of the staff that before we had actually finished our coffees she scooped them from our table. As a cherry on the cake, we were forced to leave (as other people here have indicated too) so as to accommodate a new group that had just arrived. I share the thoughts of most of the people here that this is an extremely unwelcoming place and, ironically enough, miles away from the hospitality the Greeks (as the owners) are famous for. This was by any means the most disturbing experience I 've ever had in a cafe.
