A rare shop to find in London, as it is run by a decent, well mannered, helpful gentleman who is willing to help you find exactly what you need.

Its nice to able to shop at a family run independent business. Great, knowledgeable staff. Very helpful and friendly. Just bought a new pair of Zamberlan walking boots and I am very happy.

More to this shop than meets the eye: oodles of useful stuff and a very knowledgable, helpful, not-at-all pushy man at the helm. Would certainly come again.

Something really good happened the other day. Fate brought me via Zamberlan's stockists list to Yusuf and the Outdoor Emporium. I was in the market for new walking boots and wanted to buy something like the Zamberlan Badile model I had around 1994. The Zamberlan Latemar boots I bought are great. The reason I'm writing this though is that this shop is a breath of fresh air. Having trapesed around the big shops being told what I needed and told what suited my feet by someone who had done a course it was great to just chat with Yusuf and try boots on with no pressure. Independent shops rule!

this is a great shop with helpful service - a small business well worth supporting. Yusuf knows about camping gear and outdoor stuff and is extremely helpful - I'd rather shop here any day than get an Argos or Halfords tent - personal service and years of experience at Outdoor Emporium. And good prices!!

After many days of trawling the internet for prices for an MSR HOLLER Tent, I finally decided that OUTDOOR EMPORIUM were the right people to purchase the tent from. The exceptional customer service and the good advise made me go ahead and buy the tent.
If you live close enough to Camden and looking for an outdoor shop you can trust and rely on, you must visit them.

I needed a quality, lightweight tent for cycle touring and popped in when on a visit to London because I had been unable to get decent advice in Crawley. Yusuf was very helpful and was willing to do a deal on my package of needs. I was so pleased with the quality of advice that I ordered from Yusuf and collected when next in London.
I have checked internet prices and would only have saved a couple of pounds and would have missed out on quality advice.
I am so glad I spotted the Outdoor Emporium and popped in.

This is a hidden gem of a shop; despite a small shopfront it has a huge interior that contains everything you need for the outdoor/travelling life. Great stock, great service and good prices.

They really know their stuff-their advice is very helpful, all the stuff they have recommended to me works really well, and they talk me out of loads of stuff I thought I needed, (and themselves out of loads of cash into the bargain!). I haven't gone anywhere else to buy outdoors kit in years!

I have shopped at Outdoor Emporium for a few years now.. I find that the sales people are informative and widely knowlegable about all aspects of outdoor camping and hiking.
They are super friendly and more concerned with the customers needs than what they can sell them.
I have shopped at the big high st stores like blacks and millets They do not hold a candle to Outdoor Emporium. I find they just want your money and will recomend the most expensive products .
Outdoor Emporium has my buisness when it comes to camping and hiking.
5 star rating as far as I am concerned.

A little gem of a store in the heart of Camden Compared to all the big chains you get a really personal service with friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Prices are good plenty of top brand stock to chose from and if you can't find something they will try they're best to order in for you.

Top store highly reconmended.

Rememeber save the little shops before the giants take over!

Looking for a place in or close to Camden Town to buy a sleeping bag, I found this place with Google. It's a bit off the beaten track, just past Camden overland train station going up Camden Road, on the left.

They had at least 10 different types & makes of sleeping bag (they are an independent supplier) and the bloke there was very helpfull in helping decide which one was best for the use I wanted. Apparently its been there about 15 years but, though I'm from round here, this was my first visit.

I noticed they also have a huge range of hiking boots and probably anything else you might need in that line (tents, etc.). The price range is good, but you can also get reductions ordering online.
