Gallo Nero is an absolutely fantastic little deli: excellent selection of Italian food and wine; especially good are the fresh pasta, sausages, homemade pesto and breads. Excellent friendly service too. 10/10

I have been shopping at the wonderful Gallo Nero for over 30 years and never once been disappointed. For a small shop it has a brilliant range of excellent Italian produce at fair prices. The customer service is as high quality as the food, everything is fresh and tasty, and it is a small independent in a world of often tasteless globality (if such a thing exists). To be cherished.

Gallo Nero is one of those little gems that from time to time one finds hidden away unsuspectingly in one of London's streets, and once you find it you wont forget it. This place is a proper Italian delicatessen. Free from the generic 'deli' type stock. You really get the sense that everything in the shop has been carefully sourced for quality and flavor and is the reflection of the owner's great knowledge and passion for food. Highly recommended!

Also, as run of the mill as pesto can be, you have to try their 'family recipe' pesto. It's the best I've ever had, and I've had pesto in Genova, Italy, the home of pesto. There's no comparison. Gallo Nero pesto wins.
