Standard Fish Bar

1st and last time I will use this chip shop. Chips were reheated but had that horrible texture from over reheated chips and the cod roe is the thinnest roe I have ever been served with the batter undercooked and left as a slop on the paper when opened leaving no bater on the roe. Saveloy was rock hard. Certainly will not use this place again.

Agree with Carolyn. Easily the best fish and chip shop in our area. Only negative is that it shuts a bit earlier than the others in the locality, so try to get your food before 21.45.

I was surprised to see a poor review of this great fish and chip shop. We go almost every week as a Friday treat and drive to it as it is far better than our more local chip shop. They are very friendly, the prices are reasonable and it is busy - a key sign of a good fish and chip shop. They also do children's portions, which is really helpful and good value for money.

I've used this fish shop for 10 years it is the best I've ever had! Lots of the people I work with also drive to it as its that good. The service is great they are really friendly - they have never been rude to me.

I will never get my fish and chips from here again. Terrible quality, the fish made me extremely ill. The chips were underdone and the whole thing was only fit for the bin. They are also very unfriendly and quite frankly aggressive and rude.
