Mario's,
I used to buy from Mario's, Twickenham Rd Isleworth.
Recently, in the last 4 I have visited 3 times. I don't thinknI can return. The standard has deteriorated.

Tonight large fish and chips was tepid despite placing in 2 insulated bags.

The fish tasted salty despite asking for no salt. There was no salt on the batter but the fish tasted salty. As if it had been preserved, and not like fresh fish.

The batter was not crispy on top. Underneath it was uncooked. The fish was greasy.

I am sorry to leave a negative review. I have never left a negative review for any fish and chip shop before.

Finally, it was more expensive than going to a pub for fish and chips.

I have also had items missed when ordered.

Please try to improve. I cannot return if the present standard is the norm.

I used to live very close to Mario's and would buy my fish and chips there, there was nothing better in the area. The food is virtually greaseless, might be down to the oil used, and everything I have tried is cooked to perfection. The shop is spotless, the staff friendly and the prices very reasonable. I moved away in 2006 but travel the 20 miles to buy my fish and chips when I fancy some. I have tried some of the other shops recommended in the media, tried shops from Hounslow to Enfield, Mario's really is the best. Will be there in the next couple of weeks for my cod, chips and gherkin! Highly deserving of success.

I have been going to Mario's to get my fish and chips since I was a child and I still cannot find another fish and chip shop in the same league as Mario's - friendly staff, shiny clean kitchen, walls, windows and floors and the most delicious fish and chips you can find (in my opinion anyway). They are open for lunchtime and then again for dinner from Monday to Saturday and the food is always fresh.

Perfect. Chips not greasy, perfectly cooked. Fish was amazing. Batter crisp and tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Was looking for a great chip shop in my area... Was really happy that I found Mario's Marvellous.... Great tasty quality fish and chips not full of oil. Just quality. 10/10
