A fantastic shop full of interesting things I didn't realise I needed!
The staff are lovely too.
Well worth a visit.

Love this shop. Yes it’s changed and the prices are slightly higher. But the prices are still cheap. The shop is arranged beautifully and is a real pleasure to walk around. The ladies who work there are lovely helpful and full of great help and ideas.

Great to see Kings Road shop has finally dragged itself out of the past! Granted prices have gone up but my what a change and well worth the extra cash. The shop now looks appealing and the staff friendly and helpful. So happy to see this place being given a revamp as it was desperately needed.

Really like what they have done with the shop. Had a great bargain on a shelve. I did not get her name but had some amazing upcycling tips from one of the ladies.

Visited the shop at Kings and boy has it changed. What happened to the lady in the wheel chair? Linda was a great asset but seems she didn’t fit in anymore. Some people don’t like change, I’m okay with it, if it’s for the better, somehow I don’t think the changes made are for the better.
I walked in just the other day to drop some bits off in one of the bins and I’ve never seen the men working there looking so unhappy. I popped into the shop and boy have the prices gone up! I have donated to charity shops and the shop in the past, I know that charity shops sell at a higher price, because they support good causes, what I cannot see is why the Kings shop needs to do that, where is the money going and who is it supporting. I know Linda was passionate about supporting the RNLI but that seems to have gone now. I’ve read the reviews and see some blame those who buy bits and sell them on eBay and at car boot fairs, for complaints, because they are not making enough money, I don’t know about that, I hear the bikes are still being sold cheap to the dealers that regularly went there, so someone is happy for them to continue to make their profits. I’m just disappointed that things have changed for the worse and greed seems to be the factor in that change.

Although the shop is now a lot different, not in a bad way, just different, it seems to me, as someone that has used the shop for years, that the people giving bad reviews will be those that are ebay sellers and carbooters desperate to buy quality items for very little money to then go and make a profit on themselves. Whilst the shop prices have gone up, I do not see this as unreasonable as a lot of the items are of genuine quality and deserve to fetch a higher price.

Fantastic to find out that the shop has reopened at Kings Road recycling centre!! Great changes and new friendly welcoming staff that clearly know their craft. Bagged some great items at amazing prices and could not be happier. I will be a regular! As always the guys at site were welcoming and helpful too. Keep it up all involved!

I have become very disappointed and sad regarding the shop, which used to offer people with little money an opportunity to buy household furniture at very affordable prices, not any more! I for one will stop using it. No longer can this shop be called a charity shop or working with the interests of the local residents at their heart. It now appears that someone in authority has decided instead to make the shop, which still runs on free donations from the local community, to take those free donations, massively over inflate the price of them in order to pretend they are selling very expensive pieces of vintage/antique furniture when in reality they are still selling people's old furniture. Where are these prices coming from eBay? Don't you think if people wanted to make big money out of the donations they would have sold them themselves on eBay themselves. Your insulting the local people both who donate and those that are desperate to buy cheap furniture. Go back to what you were doing well and ditch the greedy way your doing business now.

Very upset with what’s happening at the shop I feel like it’s completely changed!!!! You used to be able to bag a bargain but not any more!!! I am afraid it’s become gentrified! Everything is now vintage and prices have quadrupled it was once a shop for everyone but not anymore seems you need a lot more money now to buy a donated and free piece of furniture!!!m
