The Present Company

I can't recommend this shop highly enough. It is an Aladdin's cave of interesting and reasonably priced gifts for every occasion. In the last year before lockdown, I purchased a scented candle and some beautiful glasses for a friend's birthday; soap and hand cream for my godmother; earrings for my sister; stocking presents for the children and pretty little notebooks to keep in the house for surprise gifts. The selection of cards is superb too. This is my first port of call when buying a gift and it makes it easy to shop locally. The staff are delightful and so helpful. I strongly recommend a visit.

A beautiful little cave of goodies awaits you as you wander through the door of "Present Company" on Pitshanger Lane in the northern part of Ealing, West London. Part of a turn of the century shopping parade with wide pavements and a lively village atmosphere... this fascinating shop is full to bursting with novelty gifts/quality crafts/jewellery/cards/wrapping paper/scented candles/silverware and...presents! You can pick up a mug with "I'd rather Be Playing Golf" emblazoned on one side, or you can choose from a great selection of finer chocolates. Kids can browse through the cheap and cheerful pocket money toys while mum makes her way over to the Crabtree & Evelyn concession. Whatever the occasion, there's a lovely gift to suit...take ages wandering about and taking it all in while soft classical music helps you muse. Shelves are filled right up to the ceiling with glassware/picture frames and cartoon funnies and when you've been round once, you need to do it again to check you didn't miss anything!
