This Salon was a total A++ experience.
Great staff, and a wonderful atmposphere - recieved a warm welcome, Lindt chocolate and a tasty turkish apple herb tea.
These people understand giving and service, they work together like bees in a beehive supporting the whole.
Chris was great at listening to what I wanted, and none of the staff ever tried to "sell" you anything and it's because of all of this that I now will go back and be loyal to this salon.
This place is the rolls royce of Hair and Service.

Went along to Hair On The Hill today as I have just moved to the area,I had the same hairdresser for many years and was nervous,completely chuffed I had a great experience better than I had before or even my last salon,Chris cut my hair and I was so happy I went home and brought both my teenage daughters to have their hair done and they were also very happy all round great experience well done to you guys Jemma
After losing my long standing hairdresser I visited many salons in Crouch end and the colourists never got it right, too blonde and brassy and tiger stripes were some of the horrors suffered. Hair on the hill colourist Tatyana, has been the only one to understand that highlights don't have to be so blonde and takes time to do much smaller sections of hair, avoiding the tiger striped look. my hair looks incredibly natural and the cut is always spot on. I have been going here for 4 years now and I would never change. great with the kids too, they treat my teenagers like adults, and don't fob them off or tell them off.
Had a really nice ballyage and haircut here today,lovely salon really nice professional service.
Well I recently made a visit to Hair On The Hill,I had a guy called Chris he cut and blowdryed my hair amazing he gave it a beautiful shape, and I recieved first class service even down to the cute vintage cup my tea was served in will be going nowhere else.
I was a longterm customer of Daniel Field, but always ended up with the same haircut, also too much chitter chatter, needed a change. Tried a few others, Toni&Guy overrated and overpriced, had a few very bad cuts there.
I've been to Hair on The Hill 3 times now. Very friendly, unintrusive staff, make you feel genuinely welcome and well looked after. Nice cosy salon, pretty teacups. Tatjana has the talent to see which cut really suits your type, she seems a mind reader :-) no fuss perfect hair cut without chitter chatter, very patient and polite, great stylist!
Good price too! Try it!
This is a belated review as I have moved out of Crouch End and it is too far to commute to have my hair done at your lovely salon...however I lived in Crouch End for 3 years and you always cut my hair beautifully and it always looked gorgeous and ready for a night out or special occasion. The staff were always welcoming and most importantly you listened to my requests and always did what I asked. I am actually tempted to come and have my hair done at your salon even though I now live 2 hours away I cannot find a salon of the same quality in my new area. Thank you Hair on the Hill!

Obviously we have been styling clients for 22 years in crouch end and it makes us smile when we hear how special we really are.We do so many clients and far succeed their expectations but unfortunately guests are not thinking to write all such great things,only a couple of odd disgruntled guests do this.We love doing clients hair and only have passionate stylists who love styling clients hair,please please do try to get the time to return to us and you won't be disappointed. I find the response to Linda's review interesting. I too had a very poor colour experience at the salon twice in one week and then had to visit a different hairdresser to try and sort it out. It has cost me a fortune, my hair has been left in a terrible condition just months before my wedding and I am very upset about the whole experience. When I complained to the manager I have been repeatedly fobbed off, so much for taking complaints seriously! I am now taking the matter further and feel appalled that this salon is allowed to treat customers so unfairly.

We are very sorry to hear that this client feels that her experience was not to her satisfaction at our salon.I feel that we have offered everything in our proffessional care to resolve this guests complaint however we have got nowhere, both of my Paul Mitchell colour experts have attended this client to try to understand what her request was.I got involved on the consultation and found that the client could not explain what was wrong with her colour nor could she tell us what she wanted us to do to rectify the problem she just demanded a full refund which we don't respond well to threats I explained, the client has informed me that she since has been to another proffessional salon and still is not happy with the colour so I beg relief as to what will it take to satisfy a client that has no idea what they themselves want.

They did not do a colour test on my hair so when my hair came out red and not blond, i was told it was my fault as i had red in my hair.......My hair was grey, so I am not sure how that can be....There is alot more on how they handle my sheer panic that I was in. But maybe it is just me that had a very bad experience here, however I did try to book into other hairdressers that day and they were all book out. But this Hair on the Hill was free almost all day, I now know why

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you as a client if you really were a guest at my salon, as we can not find any record on our computer of a visit by yourself to come to the salon and show myself, exactly what you are claiming.we have always had very positive reviews and I find this one extremely hard to believe however I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.we would absolutely take a complaint very serious as we have been in business for 22 years and we are highly respected by our community.

Tatayana is a fantastically, focussed, no nonsense stylist who listens to and understands exactly what you want!! No nonsense chit chat either, which I prefer as it means she is focussed on the job in hand! Highly recommend her and I love my hair!!! Thank you Tatayana!! X
I have been going to Tatyana for two years I think she is by far the best stylist uhave been to.she does not talk rubbish in fact she does very little talking but cuts beautifully I much prefer this to chit chat and a not fab haircut Tatyana don't go anywhere we love you
I was recommended to this salon by a mum at my daughters school,I have tried a couple of salons in crouch end and just could not settle.the stylist who did my hair is called Tatyana a very quiet lady but listened to me rather than talk too much,I got the most beautifully cut graduated bob excellent.
I have been a client at this salon for a year and I have to say I love it.all the people are so friendly.all the staff talk to me and make me feel like I am special thank you.

Had my hair coloured and cut by Elijah he was amazing,he used morrocan oil on my hair it felt so amazing I bought some to take home.a truly pleasurable experience.lovely salon really professional place.
I have blonde hair.I have been having full heads of highlights for years in this economy we are all looking for value for money, and I refuse to give 120.00 just for highlights any more yet I seem to get less &less,highlights for my money so I guess this is why salons are doing deals. I was so happy with my highlights that I had at hair on the hill the girl put so many foils I have had my faith restored that I will be returning,and telling my blonde friends, vesi is the stylist name Monday to Friday she charges 59.95 for full head and you can believe me you get a proper full head or 49.95 for half head excellent value.
What a great service had a fantastic colour and amazing cut at this salon.first class service and my tea served in the most beautiful cup and saucer well done guys this salon is top of it's class
