I live just around the corner from Addiscombe DIY and regularly go there for all sorts of things needed around the house.
I've found the staff to be knowledgeable and friendly and they've been very helpful in advising me e.g. on unblocking drains, getting rid of weed and the right set of screwdrivers for my laptop repairs.
I don't do much DIY otherwise so cannot comment on a lot of the stuff they are selling but to me they've been really good and I would be more than happy to recommend them.

The staff were preoccupied and unhelpful. They treated me more like a thief than a customer.

As was mentioned in the previous review, this shop is really a place of wonders. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and knowledgable in almost every aspect of diy thinkable. Several visit have been paid to this place and on not a single occasion have I been left diasappointed. The staff give the most useful advice on any diy concerns and seem always to find a solution to the problem. I highly recommend a visit to this shop.

A delighful shop located in a small parade of shops. Looks small in size from the outside but the interior is a revalation. Clean, spacious, tidy, stacked with amost everything any DIY person would wish for. An extremely wide range of products including well known trade names all seemingly for sale at competitive prices. You can browse at leisure, in the sure knowledge no one will hassle you. Ask for anything you cannot find and the staff will try to obtain it for you.We found the staff well up to date in DIY matters and the stock they had for sale.Courteous and most helpful.I believe it is a family run business and very well run to.This is what could be described as'old fashioned shop with the same values', but up to date in every way if you know what we mean. Only five minutes and two tram stops away from East Croydon railway and bus stations.A wonderful place to visit away from the deathly grind and commercialism of those vast, soul less and chilly warehouse places. My wife and I thoroughly recommend a visit to this absolute gem of a place. Keep up the good work chaps.
