“Musica Nova” Anglo-Russian Music Academy was founded in 2001. Located round the corner from the New British Library in central London the academy’s mission is to introduce students and public alike to the famous Russian and world music culture. Its principal aim is to provide support and assistance in promoting young upcoming stars of tomorrow.
The founder of the academy is Ms. Evgenia Terentieva, a distinguished Russian born pianist, singer and composer, winner of international competitions and awards, including in 1995/96, a "Queen's Award" from the British Council and a scholarship to study in London with Professor Emeritus James Gibb at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she was awarded the prestigious Concert recital Diploma (Premier Prix).
“Musica Nova” Anglo-Russian Music Academy is the only Russian bi-lingual full-time establishment in the UK to offer complete professional music education for children (starting as early as 2 years old) and adults (up to advanced professional level), with six categories of classes geared to maximise the potential of the student in musical styles as diverse as classics, jazz and pop. Gifted professionals, with guest participations of well-known Russian and international musicians, teach the programmes.
