Five Star Nails

Says it opens at 11am on a Sunday I've been trying to make an appointment from 1115am no response to then arrive at 12pm to see the shutters are still down no sign to say there is a different open time or they will be closed nothing just bad business.

I had been coming here for years. The service wasn't always particularly great and the treatments were a bit hit and miss but for the price and they speed they were completed in you couldn't complain much. However, like everywhere else, their prices have gone up and they charge for little things such as a cut down and removal (I know most places do but this place would not charge if you were having a new set or infill. Their prices are almost on par with other higher end salons but without the high standard or the ability to do designs etc. Over the last few months they have had new hires. Now everyone has to start somewhere don't get me wrong but you would receive a junior treatment whilst paying the same price as a more experienced member of staff. I also do not believe they have been trained properly, I think they have been trained in house. I went in for a pedicure a few weeks ago and one of the newer members of the team was completing it. Most of the treatment was fine until she took the callus remover/blade too far to the back of my foot and cut me. It was sore as you could imagine but I thought it would be nothing more than a graze and these things do happen. It was only when I got home and took the plaster off that they had put on and I saw there was a hole in my foot. The girl had removed a chunk of flesh. I was charged full price for this treatment and I paid for them to brutalise me. It is standard for them to use this tool but there is no need to go any further than the heel! I have tried to go back but they said I had tried to do this to myself and then said nothing could be done until the manager was back. When I went to speak to the manager, she said she would be there until 7pm so I went after work only to find the were completely closed at 6:30pm. I have since found out that the wound is infected and I have had to take antibiotics. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else, this place is not clean, not professional and not worth it, even for the price.

i always get my nails done here, they are amazing and they have always been polite.
The prices are great and the ladies and men always let me know the prices before we do it and they always help me choose what would suit me.
i recommend getting your nails done here.

Not very welcoming or talkative.
Cut me several times around my cuticles whilst doing my nails. Didn’t even say sorry !
Will not go there again

When i go into the shop, the people there are very polite and alays make you feel welcome. They do a great job.
