Pelvic and knee surgery + stress related problems has led to my losing my job as a safety critical Guard to the public. Living 'round the corner from this shop for seven years has been a godsend. I would never have my shoes fixed or keys cut by anyone else. This Locksmith is a perfectionist. When mentioned one day in passing that my parcels were being stolen from communal area he had them safely delivered to his shop. I was able to entrust him with a spare key which was a saving grace. He even helped me when I was in trouble one day when I thought I was going to be robbed after my keys disappeared whilst juggling bringing a lot of things into my flat through communal entrance and dodgy neighbour kept interfering. Seeing how distressed I was, he offered to change my inside door's upper lock, unto offering to wait three whole days until I was paid so that I wouldn't be vulnerable as an older woman on her own. A true professional, willing to go that extra mile for genuine customers.

The owner is a lovely man, very kind and with the best of intentions.
However, he almost ruined a pair of my favourite dress shoes. The first time he repaired (re-adhering the sole), they looked messy, but fine. I wore them to work the next day, soles peeled off during my shift. Returned, he apologized, and tried again. I went to pick them up, and they looked ruined. They were carved up like a Christmas turkey. I went to Alex Shoe Repairs the next day, even he was horrified as he fixed them. Frankly, nice as the owner is, I do not want him near my, or anyone else's shoes. Please be wary.

All I would like to say in response to this lady in question is that if her shoes were a dress shoe I would never have let them get in the state they were and also explaind to he I would do the best job possible as to the condition the shoes were in and I've been in this trade for 41years with full qualified guilds for 37years in the shoerepaire industry and key cutting industry so iam not in a habit of reuin customers shoes they are always told if there can be a problem with the repair due to the condition the shoes are in when they come in to me so iam sorry for the lady in question if she fills I've damaged her shoes in anyway with all my experience in the industry that would not be the case and iam also aware you can't keep everyone happy so I would suggest to this lady in question that she would take propy care of her shoes in future or she will be giving another shoerepaire a bad name
