What a gem of a find. I had a much loved well worn pair of trainers. The owner said he could resole them for me and what a great job he did. I also had some keys cut which I found to be competitive on price with other local suppliers. Fantastic service- the man clearly knows his trade

Do you know the story of a guy that was desperately looking for a shoe repair store? Well he looked out of the window of his lodging and there it was the Alex Shoe Repairs sign staring at him.

This review is almost 10 months overdue but was still on my to do list for this year. I had visited London early March 2016, for a black tie gala event having packed in much haste a pair of lacquered shoes that were in terrible condition from previous events. Alex Shoe Repairs had the friendliest service and made the shoes look like new, and best of all it was done very quickly and free of charge!
I would not go anywhere else in London! Highly recommended!

My deck shoes (from a high-end brand) were re-laced whilst I waited and my bag was fixed in a jiffy. Super friendly and quick and efficient service. I have visited four other places and this is the only place that could re-lace my deck shoes. I will be back will all my shoes and bags!

This cobbler is incredible. I took a few pairs of shoes to him and instead of just taking my money, he suggested I contact the manufacturer because two pairs of shoes had defects and he didn't want to be unfair to me.

The other two pairs of shoes that needed heels replaced were done within 1 hour and to top quality. Not to mention a very reasonable price!

I would recommend this cobbler to anyone and even if I move, I would return to him for my shoe repairs.

10/10 for quality and service.

I have a favourite pair of heeled sandals where the buckle has totally snapped prematurely! I knew before I visited that there was not much that could be done, but I have never before had service like this.
He told me clearly that he could only fix it temporarily; he then suggested how I go about getting a new buckle. He didn't charge me for fixing it and telephoned me as soon as it was done. He was charming and helpful and smiley and fastidious and everything that one looks for in a cobbler! I will always be going back here.

It's so rare to have your expectations exceeded. This is a case where they were.
I even had to call back when I returned home and looked at the quality of the work that had been performed. I'm actively looking through my wardrobe for other shoes to be improved. I have had various pairs of Sweeneys ruined by a cobbler. I wish I hadnt thrown them away now. I'm sure they could have been saved by this guy.

Absolutely incredible service. Couldn't be more charming and lovely and so willing to help. Managed to fix the buckle on my hunter wellies in under 10 minuets and all free of charge despite trying to pay.
Cannot recommend him highly enough - there should be an 11/10 button.
Best cobbler in London.

I cannot recommend Alex Shoe Repairs enough.
I went in to get the buckle on my Hunter wellies repaired and left 10minuets later having the buckle fixed and all done free of charge, despite trying to pay for his excellent service. Such a genuine lovely man and will defiantly be going back!

Alex Shoe Repairs is my only cobbler from now on. Today they saved a pair of my favourite dress shoes, massacred by my local cobbler, all in three hours! I cannot recommend them more highly. The quality and friendly service, as well as the reasonable fee (I would have paid twice the amount easily for their services) makes them the only cobbler to go to in London.

What a great find! I took in my trainers to get some gaiters stitched on for the Marathon des Sables - I was thoroughly impressed with both the quality of the specialist workmanship and the aftercare. I would definitely recommend their services!

Years ago I worked near Clapham and used Alex shoe repairs. The quality of their work was, and still is, outstanding and I will not go anywhere else, despite no longer living nor working near Clapham. I wear Church's, Crockett & Jones and Cheaneys, and prefer to use Alex than the manufacturer. Alex Shoe Repairs have even rescued some shoes that were done badly by the awful shoe repair services in London tube stations.

I went to Alex Shoe Repairs because of the reviews on All in London. So glad I did!I took some suede ankle boots that were in really poor condition. I had tried to clean them myself but couldn't get the stains out. Well they looked pratically brand new when they were returned to me. Amazing service

What a gem of a cobblers - I live in West London & in future will make the journey South as they are fantastic at shoe and bag repairs. I would also totally recommend them to any one doing the Marathon des Sables who needs gaiters stitching on their shoes - a difficult job & they take real care.

This is the best little shop in the SW. Probably even London The guys are so lovely and are miracle workers. They will bring your shoes back from the dead, as was the case with mine. Nothing beats a good cobbler and these guys are amazing. I sent my friend there and she raved about it also. Prices are great, and they're fast completing the work. Customer service is important to them, and it shows in their work and their attitude. Can't say enough about this place. Ladies, don't throw away your shoes's until you visit this shop.

I brought my beautiful leather boots from Zara to them - the soles were completely thinned out with holes in them, the stitching on the back had come open which I tried to fix with super glue (don't ever do this because it makes it harder for them to fix) and I literally thought there was no chance they'd be saved. After having to only wait one day to pick them up, they were beyond what I expected - the new soles were even better than before. They had somehow managed to fill in the hole in the toe area, making it look completely normal and covered the unstitched part in the back so that it was completely secure and natural looking. I am SO pleased and will always go back here to get any shoe fixed :) Thanks guys!

Alex Shoe Repairs is a local, family run shop where nothing seems to be too much trouble.
They are always willing to help even with the smallest of jobs.
Always a happy friendly face and good quality repairs.
