this is my local Lidl and I have been going to this store for a very long time. but on this very particular day (3/09/2023) I came face to face with the most rudest member of staff.
I was walking down the freezer aisle going to the baby section with my buggy that had my 2 year old daughter in it when a member of staff was filling up the freezer and an item fell out onto the floor while I was passing by and I unknowingly continued walking and apologised to the staff member for disturbing her work and not stopping to allow her to pick up the fallen item.
The staff member turned around and shouted rudely at me in front of my 2 year old daughter and other customers. Even though I said am sorry first she still had the nerve to speak to a customer in an unmannered condescending tone. Her exact words were “you see there’s a box there and you are still pushing pass” I replies “I said am sorry” I informed her that “I should complain about your rudeness” and as I was walking off she replied aggressively “yeah complain about me do you want my name” creating a hostile environment.
I was shocked the staff member used impolite tone making me feel provoked. To think I spent £15 here to get shouted at, I got to the till told a member of staff at the till and she believes that it was the manager who was rude and shouted at me.
THE WORST STORE EVER, I WOULDN'T GIVE THEM 1 STAR. I AM SO ANGRY
Lidl is a supermarket which sells a wide selection of groceries and frozen, chilled and tinned food. They also sell a range of cosmetics.
