Balgalores Best Kebab

Placed an order that came to £86.90. Told us they had to collect our money before they would cook our food. I have been using Balgore's best for the last 5 years religiously and I will never use them ever again.

This place used to be the best by far, but recently gone down hill. Service has become a bit chaotic, but worst of all they have started to cook in bulk, and leave the food to stew in a pot on the side. What is even a bit grim, is that if you order a special kebab with peppers and onion, it used to be cooked with the meat on the grill. Now I have seen them deep fry it, and then grill very quickly. This results in a nasty mush. Given the large number if staff and bulk cooking they are obviously trying to do too much with too little space. Pizzas are still excellent though!

this is by FAR the best kebab place iv ever eaten in here in england, i only felt the need to write this review after seeing a bad one. the meat in there is so tender and fresh and well cooked not overdone or last nights leftovers you can clearly tell. they also do a wrap which is what i would suggest instead of the pitta. they wont let you down with taste, the ONLY thing i will say is their chips always come a bit soggy but i think its impossible to deliver chips that stay crispy. have a nice kebab.

I was VERY disappointed with my order. I placed my order by phone and was told it would be with me within 45 minutes. 1 hour later I was still waiting so I phoned Balgores to ask where my food was and got passed around 3 different people before I was eventually told that it wasn't ready. I was assured my food would be with me within 15 minutes and I would get a discount. It finally arrived 20 minutes after, in total 35 minutes late. When I asked about the discount I was told that the driver knew nothing about it. Will NEVER order from here again. Shambles!

Well what can i say? The staff are friendly and the kebabs are delish.
James Ishmail who works there, has got some of the finest kebab skewering skills i've ever come across. In fact, I've never seen him cut a bad kebab. He's always in there, talking loudly and laughing in Turkish. He has all the skills required to be a kebab man, he even has the perfect accent and projection to ask his customers 'chilli sauce salat moite?'.

He commands his staff with such authority that they rarely put a step wrong. If a mistake is made, someone is getting punished. I remember once, Altan (an ex-employee) had his hand cut off by James for a late delivery.

Another employee of his, Zihni, does the dance mat whilst cutting the meat off a kebab. It's very entertaining. However most weekends, this boy with large testacles comes in and tries to use the dance mat guided by Zihni. He's terrible at it but noone has the heart to tell him as he looks like hes enjoying every second of it.

All in all, this is a wonderful establishment, run fantastically well by a very Turkish looking Mr. Ishmail, however get on the wrong side of him and the consequences could be fatal.

We have used Balgores Kebabs on many occasions for both home delivery and take away. The staff are really friendly and will do anything for you! Their kebabs are great and my daughter likes their pizzas as well.I am a right pain and always ask for bread, salad and meat to be seperate and its never a problem. On one occasion they forgot to deliver part of the order so I phoned and they were really apologetic and had someone with me real quick - Main Road, Gidea PArk :))))))) yummy shish and doners in fact awaiting a delivery right now
