you come away feeling your car is safe after its mot and if anything needs doing you don't feel its made up or you've been ripped off as you can do elsewhere.

Time and time again these guys deliver. Usually use for tyres, MOT headlamp bulbs.
This time I had a major problem, they dealt with this in their usual professional manner, quickly and so reasonably priced.

Since moving locally 3 years ago I've used these guys to MOT my 15 year old BMW and service it. It's never gone wrong, they've always been cheap, and have never tried to charge me for anything which wasn't necessary.

Got a flat in my BMW 3 series estate on Saturday. They are run-flats. Thought about going to a mobile web tyre fitter to replace the tyre for £160. Saw some good reviews here; had driven by it lots of times. Thought I would give it a try. Gave a call on Monday asking to replace the tyre. Was told to bring it in so they could have a look before we start ordering tyres. They took the tyre off, patched the tyre, and replaced it for £15. Did a real thorough jobs of removing the tyre, sanding the inside, putting in a plug, patching the inside, vulcanizing fluid, etc.

Lots of people say you can't repair run-flat tyres. They said they do lots of them and don't have any problems. If it doesn't work, I figure I'm only out £15, and if it holds up I saved £145. Straight forward, honest people, who could have made a lot more money selling me a tyre.

Because I gave them a go based on reviews here, went through the trouble of setting up an account and posting this review as a way of saying "thanks" to them.

I went to my usual garage after a warning light came on regarding my brakes. They told me that all four of my brake discs had gone and would need replacing (at a cost of £250-£300). This seemed odd to me that all four would have worn down at the same time and as I regularly drive past Docklands tyres I thought I would pop in a get some advice. Well it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! The guys there told me that there was nothing wrong with the disc and the problem was possibly the brake detection box which is fitted underneath the car and is prone to breaking. As they do not repair vehicles they kindly directed me to a local Audio/VW (Trinidad Street) garage where they replaced the box and the total cost was £50! Needless to say I wont be using my usual garage again. I later went back and had two front tyres replaced as they had advised that they were wearing.
I have since replaced 2 tyres on my other vehicle and even though they were ordered in especially, they still charged me a very fair price.
As a female driver there is always a dread of walking into a garage and leaving with a feeling of being ripped off but I can honestly say that after visiting Docklands tyres I would thoroughly recommend them.

Exhaust blew over the weekend, normal panic, found Docklands and read the positive reviews, visited Ron & his guys 9.30 Monday morning, got a quote which after looking at web prices over the weekend (anything from £200 - £320) thought they had made a mistake, no mistake, shade over £100. Waited nearby in a cafe till just before 11am, new back & middle exhaust, ordered, delivered and fitted. Running my own business I know how important customer service and honesty are, so pleasant to find it elsewhere. Car will be returning for a service later in the year. Thanks guys.

I've used Docklands Tyres & Exhausts for over 20 years now, and with a variety of vehicles - '68 VW Beetle through '09 Citroen C4.

I've never experienced anything less than positive, helpful, speedy and very reasonably priced service.

What would have been MOT advisories elsewhere have been rectified there and then (bulbs, brake adjustment etc) rather than forcing a return visit (and an additional charge)

Exotically sized tyres have been ordered, delivered and fitted within hours.

Exhausts have been patched and welded rather than forcing me to buy complete replacement systems prematurely.

I've nothing but praise for Ron and his guys, who still know what Customer Service means.

A free coffee and scone whilst I waited would get Docklands Tyres & Exhausts 10 out of 10 - as it is they'll have to settle for 9 out of 10

As for the negative comment left previously - what sort of clown would expect to rock up just 15 minutes before closing to get a puncture fixed?!!

I have found them very helpful over the years. He once got me atyre when no mainline dealer in the whole of london had one

Every time I have my car serviced with a main dealer there is always a long list of "advisories"

Ron invariably knocks them out. this actually costs him money as he turns away work by telling the truth. He is a bluff straight talking guy. Some peopee cannot hack that. Well they should go to the main dealers where they will be ever so politely overcharged or told to do work that is not necessary

Was asked to bring the car in before 5.30pm to repair a puncture. Arrived at 5.15pm and was told he couldn't repair the puncture as he was ready to go home. Explained that it was not even 5.30pm. The owner was having none of it and asked me to come back in the morning. Rude, Poor customer service, can not be trusted. Not recommended at all. I'll take my business elsewhere!!
