The Watch Hospital

Beware getting ripped off! They wanted £80 for a battery fitted by a proper jewellery shop for just £10 in Watford yesterday. I later heard the hospital had been bought by Timpsons. They also wanted 6 weeks when the proper shop need 5 minutes!

I have at least three times taken man Casio Wave Ceptor watch for correction of time zones (all three due to my own incompetence). On all occasions it was corrected will I waited and at no cost . The young lady can be a little abrupt but all the men have been most obliging, helpful and polite.

I recently took a gold chain that I had accidently broke while indoors in the bathroom a very small link broke and put in a safe place until I decided to have it repaired.I took it to the watch doctor thinking that they would just put in another link.I was told it had to be sent away to be soldered and told it would cost 28pounds.Reluctantly I agreed, to my horror when it was returned it was somewhat shorter and prior to it being repaired I could easily take it on and off.Neither my head has expanded nor my neck line dropped.

Most polite and helpful lady member of staff. Extremely good prices and a good service.
