The Wedding Shop have been a disaster from start to finish, I seriously regret choosing them, they made us assurances about shipping at the start that they’re now saying they can’t honour. We live abroad and are going to end up paying a fortune in import, friends are having the same problem. We chose them because we were assured they had he same policies as selfridges where they have a base.
Getting replies to emails for the first few months was a joke, I complained several times and received a £50 voucher which was something I suppose but not enough to make up for everything.
They also had an IT problem which meant when we ordered our gifts we paid an additional amount then they asked for another payment which we made then when I complained they realised it was a mistake so refunded it but just to our account not to my credit card

Be warned against The Wedding Shop, they will rush you through your gift choices even though you are choosing most from a very small photo. They then cant supply all the gifts that you originally requested and guests bought and others go up in price, admittedly this is often out of their control, however their customer care post wedding to deal with these matters is terrible. You wait months for your gifts, encourage guests to spend a fortune with them and then they cant be bothered to help you in any way after they have received all money. We wish we had acted on our initial bad feelings but we were rather pushed for time trying to get their card included in our invites. Dont bother....they dont.

Waited a year for the first lot of presents (those that weren't out of stock or no longer produced due to the long wait) and then another 6 months for the last items. These were only delivered after 4 emails, several phone calls and eventually threats of legal action over the outstanding money they had held on to for the last 18months. Then the toaster they delivered didn't work and I'm now another phone call, message and two emails in and yet to get any response.... Steer clear if you value your sanity!

While the choice of goods in The Wedding Shop (I visited The Wedding Shop on 171 Fulham Road) was very good and the initial service and set up of the gift list very satisfactory I have been seriously disappointed with the service we received after our wedding date.
Our wedding was in October, it is now March and are still being told that some of our gifts have not arrived at the store and therefore cannot be delivered. That is nearly 6 months after our wedding date! I have been told that there is nothing they can do about it as it is their supplier's fault.
For a shop that specialises in selling and sending wedding gifts you would have though that they would have nailed this down to a fine art. I would just warn other brides to think again before using this shop.
