You gonna be doing one of those intensive courses? Be careful when you go back, I been driving for years and it's very odd at first driving on the other side of the car on the other side of the road!!

Hey El!!

I hope you don't find me rude asking this, but where do you get the money from to come back from LA, learn to drive, then go back again? I'm only asking as I am interested and as you know, I'd love to be doing what you're doing!

lol its not rude, well I saved up like mad got around 6 grand aroud 10,000 dollars (took a year) and now that is nearly gone but i have set up a life over here got a place to live and all my own furnature now also i got a tourist visa which allows me to stay in LA for 6 months rather than 3. I am coming back to London back to my old job for a couple of months to get more money so i can do an intensive driving course and get my 01 visa rolling which will also take around a year to get but once i have that i can acctually work out here cant wait for that!

It has been very hard im not gonna sugar coat it but you have to work very hard for what you want and i have had a lot of obstacles so far including having to move house while ive been here luckily i have done it all with my partner but it has still been hard.

If you want to move to LA i will give you all the advise i can as i have made mistakes and learned and now know LA itself and have a bit more of a clue!

by the way Hollywood is all smoke and mirrors!! its a dump!!

Ah ok. Thought you might have been brought up in a wealthy environment... ;)
Oh I totally get the "you gotta work hard to get what you want", but unfortunately, living in LA is not an option for me at the mo. Neither is London! Having a partner who has built up his rep in Bristol for the past 8/9 years is not gonna wanna move else where to start again. So I will have to work even harder at getting my dream job. Ho hum.

Sounds like you're very determined though, which is what you need. I'm saving up at the moment to get some professional headshots taken and then to join spotlight. Then I'll be hounding those agents!

I recently contacted Stewart Hamilton again, but unfortunatley he has all his runners for now :( I've applied for another runner job in London. Lets hope...
