Excellent article El!!

Just a couple of things I'd like to say though.
Actors headshots in the UK don't have to be just one, solom expression. They do want you to look natural, with little make up, but they like it when you are smiling or showing some character. My headshot I'm using at the mo is one of me smiling and it was taken by a top London photographer who knows what casting directors want.

Also, there are workshops involving casting directors and agents in London. I have had information for some of them on Casting Call Pro. There's one next month and June, with tv, film and theatre casting directors. It does cost £500 though!

Thanks Aly well it has changed in the past 6 months to a year then about headshots and not smiling my bf said the same as he helped me with the article and getting details right and he had his done by JC aswell after drama school, its about time they freed up restrictions on UK headshots.

With the casting director workshops they are more popular in LA than regular auditions and all the people I know have gotten jobs that way on the biggest shows in the US eg House, CSI and Dexter, plus they are only 40 dollars and there quite new in the UK.

I don't really pay much attention to CCP. I get emails from them about paid and unpaid jobs, but I can't apply to any of the paid ones because I'm not a subscribed member. I think I'll only pay when a job I really want comes up, and then cancel my subscription. All I get is TIE projects mostly...

I'm with PCR which is slightly better... At least you get to see future motion pictures. A few of them have had a casting breakdown, but I haven't fitted the criteria :(
