Oh gosh I think I am having yet another of my dumb moments! :emb: I am not at Uni yet (I am 16!) But I think it says on their website that you have to be 16 and over to get one but they do cost £10. Do you have to be in Uni to get them? If thats the case I am just having a blonde moment... :bangin: ...even though I am not blonde!

Oh don't worry, I have plenty of blonde moments (no offence to any blondes) and I am pure brunette...!

You need to be at University in order to get a NUS card (student card). I think the £10 is to join the agency if you are a non-student. Let me know if you are having any more trouble.

Hey guys, to get an NUS card you need to be in 6th form at school, colllege or at uni. You have to pay for it no matter what! but some of the discounts make it worth it :)

I think the system's changing. I wasn't aware of any NUS card when I was at school or college, only when I was at uni. But for the first 2 years it was free, and in the final year you get a student card anyway, but this NUS one does cost. But I'm sure you only need a student card to join Universal extras, not an NUS one. But it does have to be a Uni card, hence why the angency is called UNI-versal extras...

Oh yeah...that UNI-versal extras theory makes it much more clear. Thanks for your help Aly!

No probs :)

Yeah I know, that's why you need to research and pick the ones that will get you work, or opportunities.
