Not as good as I remember them being but I love my award shows. Anyone going to be watching?

Will Adele win big like she did at the Grammy's? I hope so :)

Not sure on how they run it - I do like the Brits though despite being pretty sceptical about these awards things. It's got real entertainment value and is a bit livelier than all those others which are just about lots of sitting around and clapping graciously.

Anyone else watch?

My thoughts:
Adele's performance was great
Blur were a bit poor - out of practice and a bad sound
Ed Sheeran was great
Coldplay also great

Thought Adele's reaction to the cut-off was about right, I can't believe they couldn't find another 30 seconds to let her speak.

Neither can I - such an amazing performance and wonderful achievement for her, and they cut her off to let a poor-sounding Blur play for way too long :veryangry:

I agree that they should have let her finish her speech but a lot of people seem to be blaming Blur which I don't get. Even if they weren't that great live (Although, I quite enjoyed their performance) The winners of the Outstanding Contribution award always perform a medley of their songs, so them performing a long set doesn't really have anything to do with it.

It was so embarrassing though as this was somewhat a homecoming thing for her and we just cut her off.

Other than that I thought there were some great performances this year. I don't think any of them were rubbish. Also, I love Coldplay's stage design for their latest album.

It just felt like Blur hadn't really practiced enough and so it was a bit indulgent and arrogant of them to play for so long. When they're on form I'm a fan, so I'm not having a go at their music, just the fact that it was a poor night which stood out as Adele (and others) had such a good night musically.
