Maybe for those who live way outside of London it isn't such bad news. I for one cannot WAIT for the 2012 Olympics. I love watching sports and I can't wait to see them live! This will be a great, and perhaps one off opportunity, to do so. As for retail prices etc going up, well... things change.

Baz Lurman Prices will rise, politicians will falander...

Just have to make do with what we have really. I know the government can be a pile of s***, but one day the public will rule all!! MWAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! ;)

Besides, I am going to be living in Bath soon, and one of the Uni's is the training ground for the Olympians. Woo!

they'd eventually stick the prices of everything up anyways - i mean they're spending 10m pound to make the crossing at oxford circus go criss cross across all 4 intersections (if that makes sense) to cope with the people, so i suppose they have got to finance things like that somehow . . . .

Yeah, due to inflation each year, prices go up. But what I was worried about was prices getting jacked up high just to squeeze more out of the tourists. And then my concern is that I don't believe prices will come back down again. Even though the economy will be positively affected by the games, will we see the prices come back down to where they should be.

To say 'things change' kind of is like shrugging your shoulders when taxes or gas, or fuel prices go up again and saying 'oh well'. It's like lying down and taking it.

I Think The Olympics Are A Waste Of 16 Days tbh.
And Also A Waste Of Money.
Money That Could Be Spent On Some thing More Important.

o i meant prices go up more after they are adjusted for inflation - i mean really - when was the last time that prices were put up in a year ONLY by the rate of inflation - never happens.

and you're right. prices definately will not come down at all full stop! bastards!!!

yeh it is liek taking it - but the trouble is we can't do anything about it so we pretty muich do have to take it lyinng down.

life sucks

I just don't let things that are inevitable worry me. If I didn't want it to happen, I would make steps to make a difference. Not just moan about it.
