Cheap days out in London - what are you suggestions?

My advice is to try and visit as many of the free attractions as you can, such as Tate Modern, Science Museum, Changing the Guard and Westminster Abbey. There's lots of things happening all year round in London's South bank; free events, exhibitions, debates and festivals. Try this website - http://www.londonisfree.com/

If you're set on visiting the attractions with admission fees then work out if it's worth investing in a London Pass. These aren't cheap but if you cram as many of the 50 free attractions in as you can, you should save money.

Also, if you collect tesco clubcard points, these can be exchanged for some great days out such as Kensington Palace, London Zoo, Tower of London and many more.

Yes, I agree with all these free tips. But I'd also suggest trying a few walking tours (if the weather's good) - I think there are some walking tour guide books you can buy cheaply, and explore this fantastic city. I love walking around London - just remember to look *up* from time to time, you'll be amazed at what you'd otherwise miss.

I'd def hit up the Museums! The Tate Modern Art Museum is just amazing and the majority of it is FREE!!! The Museums often have special sections that are sectioned off and show like special collections. The British Museum, Science and Natural Histroy are all free and reasonably close to one another. The Imperial War Museum has this amazing display of London during war. It is pretty sweet.

Lol I know what you're saying about Tussauds. I've never paid to go I think. I used to work at Chessington World of Adventures so I got in for free.

If I went again, I'd take loads of props.

I was visitng London the first week in May, I had a really limited budget and like all of you I wanted to visit as many things as possible for the least amount of money...

All the attractions seemed so expensive not to mention the accommodation!

But after searching a bit I came across the London Pass which gives you access to loads of great tourist attractions (about 55 I think).

The pass only costs like £53 for three days and for one day it was around £35. I really recommend the London pass if you're looking to spend as little as possible, you can combine it with a transport pass aswell to save even more.
