- What about recycling last year's Christmas gifts, if they haven't been used, to save money?

... or is that a bit tight?! :) :-?

I'm not suggesting you give someone and old pair of socks that your Auntie gave you last year!

So glad i'm not expecting a present from you this year ;)

I'm making hampers for female members of the family.... mum, MIL, SIL & for the teachers. All from stuff i got in the boots 75% off sale in feb

Hampers can be whatever you make them, you can 'theme' them etc.

I'm also going to be making my mum a 'war' hamper for her birthday in Feb.
War films, books, old style things, old sweets wrapped in little brown paper bags etc.
My mum loves everything about the wars.

.............................................

I nicked this idea of mse & will be using it for my SIL  .... hope she sees the funny side :confused2:

A hamper with the following:

An eraser to make mistakes disappear.
A packet of straws so she's never down to the last one
Marbles to replace the ones she's lost
A soldier to fight her battles
A mask for when she needs to be incognito
A plane for when incognito's not enough
String to keep it all together
Chocolate for when the worst has happened
Fortune cookies so she can see what's coming
A rain poncho for when the s**t starts flying
Glasses cleaning wipes for clarity

Will be adding a few things of my own too

I've been shopping for Christmas more online this year, plus I haven't sent out so many cards as I usually would. Lisa x

Yeah I thouhgt I'd do that, but something I ordered for my parnter has come through and it's a child's version. Nowhere in the item description or on my order does it say 'childs' yet on the package and the itinery thing it does. So I'm gonna have to hike into town on saturay to go and dort it myself. so thought I was saving myself the trouble, but no :(
