Anyone watch the Red Nose Climb up Kilomanjaro last night? I was feeling the effects of altitude sickness just watching them...!

my dad has climbed that mountain before. conditions were very bad. after the 5th person died he turned around n came straight home. bit of an eye opener

they died from: dun dun dah - waiting for dad to tell me, waiting, waiting,

there was a massive cold front that came over the mountain, not liek a blizzard or anything but chilling ice cold deathly winds. he said the first 2 or 3 porters (bag carriers) were ill equiped so they died from that and because of the chill (it was well below zero degrees constantly as they got higher, plus the chill that swept through made the temperature drop) many people got sick like the clibmers from all over the world and 2 of them died. and the week before 2 people died also on another expedition up there. and so dad grabbed the nearest porter n the porter flashed a few benjamin franklins at him and said i want off. 4 hours later he was at the bottom. must be a record for getting down haha
