I moved to London 6 months ago and have been really lucky to find a flat in the centre of London. Rent really varies depending on the areas and what sort of a property you are looking for. If you share with flatmates then this definitely makes it a lot cheaper. But if you are looking for a place on your own, it's going to cost you a lot more. If you live further out then the places are cheaper again. For example, you could pay £220 a week for a very small studio in the centre but could probably get a 1 bedroom spacious flat for that price further out. Maybe if you try looking on www.gumtree.co.uk that will give you an idea of what is about. Good luck!
