Radio1, Captial, Heart, Xfm or lbc?

Hi all,

We were just wondering which London radio station everybody listens to.

We've got a range of stations on in our office (streamed to PCs) the majority of folk seem to listen to either Capital or Heart.

What do you all listen to and why?

And yes, I do realise that Radio1 is a national station, but it's generally based in London, mentions London a lot and seems to like to say that it's London's biggest station.

I can't stand Radio 1... maybe it's just their taget audience that dictates they have to play complete dross... and also have to recyle the same eight songs 50 times a day... although perhaps that says something about the attention-spans off the "yoof of today".

I think I switched off completely after Colin and Edith replaced Mark and Lard.

I generally listen to Radio 1 in the mornings. The Chris Moyles show is generally good, I'd normally dislike someone like Moyles but he's actually quite funny and the rest of the team on his show really make it work.

I switch off at 10 and then listen to either Capital or Xfm, the day time presenters on Radio 1 are pretty dull.

I listen to XFM. Lauren Laverne is brilliant and plays great music. It's a little bit repetitive to listen to at work though...

Actually yeah, I like Lauren Laverne, I think she's really funny. Knows her music as well. (She used to be in Kinikie didn't she?)
Much better than Jo Whiley as far as lady DJs go. Can't stand Jo Whiley. All I can hear is her inhaling inbetween sentences. So annoying. And she's so up her own arse. Get over yourself Jo.

I've started listening to 5Live (909 or 693 MW) - I thought it was all sport, but it isn't during the day. There's no music but they discuss everything from the news, to arts and books it really good.
The best bit of the week is Mark Kermode's film reviews on Simon Mayo on Friday afternoon from 1 o'clock.

Well worth a listen.
