Hello All!

Don't have anything to do tonight, but you still want to have the rest of the night to go out?

Vertigo New Issue Launch: Place and the Moving Image Place and the Moving Image, a screening of short films by some of the most exciting short filmmakers today, will mark the launch of the new issue of Vertigo, Landscapes of Intent: Place and the Moving Image. The evening promises a sideways looks at landscape, and people's place within it, that is always invigorating and enquiring. The short films will range from an exploration of northern India's ship-breaking yards in HAMMER AND FLAME to the spirited steps of Greg Pope's MOONWALK and Bernd Behr's military test-sited and extraordinary HOUSE WITHOUT A DOOR, with drinks to follow. Vertigo's new issue features writing by John Berger, Hannah Collins, Andrew Kotting, and Avi Mograbi and an exclusive feature by actress Tilda Swinton. Filmmakers interviewed include Fred Kelemen and Kim Longinotto and articles include J G Ballard, Idris Kahn and a major piece on Andrei Tarkovsky to mark the Twentieth Anniversary of his death. Bernd Behr takes over the Artists' Pages. To book tickets call 0870 756 4620 or visit www.curzoncinemas.com. See www.vertigomagazine.co.uk for more information.
