As an intelligent and (rather more than) pleasant 30 plus woman who is relatively new to town, I can safely say we suffer exactly the same problem... I've tried all manner of places but have yet to find a venue that isn't all about singles/desperates/alternative lifestyles/salsa etc etc. I'm guessing the answer to your question is that we're all either:
a) at home bemoaning the lack of venues to meet intelligent, normal 30 plus men
b) out with our girl chums because we can't locate said venues
c) in other venues bashing our heads against the nearest brick wall
That wasn't much help, was it?
