Fuehrer Tony's Britain - another link in the chain
"On 4th July Gareth Crossman, Policy Director of Liberty spoke at a cross-party meeting held in the House of Commons aimed at highlighting concerns over the 2003 UK-US Extradition Treaty. Of particular concern is the proposed extradition of Babar Ahmad to the US. Since the signing of the treaty, the US has demanded the extradition of more than 40 British citizens, without having to provide any evidence to validate the allegations against them. In contrast, if the UK wishes to extradite a US citizen, they must first demonstrate a case in the US court."

all british politicians would do the same - there is too much money to be made in Iraque and elsewhere around the world to spoil relations with the states.
majority of the rest of europe, on the other hand, is more confident in dealings with the usa
