travel help please

I am having a day in London in September to meet a cousin from New Zealand who is over for just a couple of days. Last night they announced the tube strike and he has also changed his accomodation. So my train arrives at Kings cross and he is staying inTeddington. Can anybody suggest where we can meet and how do we both get there. I have to be back to Kings cross by 17.30.
