Something different to do in London

I organise a social club and am always looking for events which are fun -- like dining at places which have waiters who sing etc. But I am running out of ideas -- we have been down the river, up on the Wheel, wine tasting, back stage at a musical, been on the Jack the Ripper tour and seen Mama Mia twice.

Can anyone suggest restaurants which are a little bit different? Or places which are fun and special?

Look forward to hearing from you!

been to Blue Elephannt on Fulham Broadway?

Sunday buffet lunch is only 20 pounds for the top food - as well as extraordinary set up. Booking essential.

Have you tried Cafe in the Crypt below St Martin in the Fields? They have jazz nights aswell, that's quite a different setting for a meal, listening to Jazz below a church!

Failing that try Chez Gerard in Covent Garden, they provide you with a joke on a piece of paper after the meal Wink

Have you considered the Jazz Cafe in Camden. It has been a while since I last visited, but what I can say is that it's an amazing award winning venue that brings undergound soul and jazz to a beautiful mainstream styled venue and resturant. I would recommend calling up to arrange seating in the upper ring for a fantastic view of the stage and for the perfect night you can top it off by meeting the performers. The managers of the Jazz cafe are some of the friendliest in the Mean Fiddler Group and with a call ahead you may be able to get a chance to sit and chat with with the next sensation (or even a current sensation) and find out what thier inspiration has been or even what they had for breakfast!

The great thing about this venue is that there is a great balance of made and unsigned performers meaning that you can be sure that whatever the night may be, it is sure to be unique.

To find out the line up visit http://www.meanfiddler.com/displayPage_jazz.asp?PageID=387 and below you can find contact info.
