Hi,
i am a 5 yrs old female.am moving to London in Nov for over a year. I was wondering what clothes i shall need.

i shall be working in a engineering design company....i understand dress code is business casual...but does thi sinclude a jacket? also from the websites i understand it gets cold & damp in london during winters. what am i to wear then? a woolen coat & a raincoat????? please help me as i come from a dry area...& know nothing about rain wear....also brand to buy etc..........please help me.

Hi chaha,

"Business casual" doesn't have to be a suit and doesn't have to include a jacket. It would just usually mean trousers or a skirt with shoes and then a blouse or a jumper.

As far as an overcoat - that essential!

The UK gets very cold and wet during the winter months, but if you're travelling and already bringing lots of things with you big coats and warm jumpers can be heavy and bulk to travel with, so I'd advise buying coats and jumpers here.

That said, London can be expensive for shopping, but you can always find cheaper shops and discounts.

thanx a ton. could you please advice me a good store & a nice brand to buy a waterproof trenchcoat or whatever its called.........please let me know a good brand.................
