living in Battersea or clapham(criminal area or not)?

I'm going to move London in Battersea , Thomas Baines Road but I have never living in London, Please advice me about this area this is safe for living me and my family?

Is the same as anywhere in London as far as I'm aware. You get nice areas and undesirable ones in every borough.

My dad lived there years ago, and never had any problems. And my friendlived near the train station for a number of years and the only problem she had was damp in one of the bedrooms.

Clapham Juntion is ok - same as any other area i.e a bit mixed. I think Thomas Baines Rd is probably the slightly less nice part of the area, but still fine. I have a friend who lives very near there and she's never mentioned any problems... same as everywhere else - just be sensible e.g. not walking alone late at night.

Its hard to say what you would consider criminal, but you wont find anywhere in London 100% 'safe', its just the nature of capitals. Are you renting or buying there? if you're renting why don’t you start with a small contract to begin with and test the water 1st?
