'Birthday Night Out' suggestions!!! - Please help!

Hello!

I don't know London's night scene that well - I always go out to the same places with my friends.

I need advice for my birthday night out

I want to find a club that also serves good food (hybrid I think they're called bar/restaurant/club)

So I can be in the same place all night...no moving from bar to bar to club with lots of people!

I want it to be SMART, so like a no trainers/jeans dress code
but NOT pretentious!

somewhere a little different...so far I'm considering somewhere like Tamarai...anyone been there? whats it like?

Your help and advice very much appreciated thank you in advance!!!

This place is in Soho, i spoke of it in a different thread.

The place is a large restaurant.....with a prop up bar too.

Shake you dry people in the toilets too with aftershaves etc....

At a point in the evening it changes to just a posh night club / bar.

Mezzo restaurant is it's name

here is a link

Octave 8 in Covent garden is superb !!!!

Excellent food, cocktails, and if you pick the right evening, live jazz music too, but not obtrusive.

Prices medium(ish), no chav !!

I know exactly the kind of place. Why not try the Sanderson Hotel. Its lovely - atmosphere and cool music give it a nice relaxed vibe without the pretentiouness x
