Wanderlust! Moving from America. help!!!

So basically I am graduating high school in 6 months and debating on moving to London to work and travel from there to see the world. I'm a painter and hope to be a tattoo artist eventually, so while college is an option, I need to discover for myself if it's possible to make a career without being in debt for the rest of my life. Anywho, I would love any advice anyone has, such as how expensive London is, availability of jobs, how to get a work visa, or any other random thoughts you may have. Thanks a lot. Cheers!
