Do digital cameras wear out or is it just my lack of skills?

The last 3 digital cameras I've owned have all gone the same way. After about 6 months of ownership/use they all seem to have started to take blurry pictures and the camera seems to take longer to respond and actually take the picture. The result of this is that you always capture the moment after the one you intended, it's really bloody frustrating.

The latest camera cost about £300 as well Sad

Is it just me, or does this happen to others?

My last digital camera took great quality photos til the end, but it was taking longer and longer to take a photo and to wait until you could take another.

All the digital cameras I've had definitely lasted more than 6 months without problems though.

Hmmm, might just have been unlucky with bad cameras then.

Might have to get this one looked at, I don't want to spend more money on another one just yet!

Cheers

Compact cameras tend to have a long shutter lag - the delay between pressing the shutter button and the camera actually grabbing the image.

The lag of your camera Ellie, the Fuji Z20fd, is 0.44sec. There are some where the delay can be up to 2 seconds!
